Angela Brown is a partner with the firm and practices primarily in the areas of corporate/commercial law, estate planning and real estate. Angela regularly advises clients on the purchase and sale of businesses, incorporations, shareholder agreements, financings, reorganizations, contracts, commercial leases, real estate and renewable energy projects.
Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Angela spent 7 years in the financial industry, working for Goldman Sachs in London, UK, and RBC Capital Markets and Scotiabank in Toronto. Her considerable finance experience included roles in investment banking, commercial banking, and private equity. Angela has advised clients on the structuring of debt and equity financings and the acquisition of businesses for transactions ranging in size of up to $3.0 billion.
A native of Kingston, Angela attended Queen’s University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996. She subsequently obtained her law degree in 1999 from Osgoode Hall Law School, and her MBA in 2001 from IESE Business School in Barcelona.
Angela is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Frontenac Law Association and the Hastings County Law Association
