Hugh Hammond joined Templeman Menninga LLP as an Associate lawyer on his call to the Bar in June 2010 and became a partner on January 1, 2017. Hugh practices in the areas of Corporate/Commercial law and Real Estate law.
A native of Brockville, Hugh attended Queen’s University, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2005. Hugh continued his studies at the University of Alberta Law School where he was actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada. He received his law degree in 2009. Hugh completed his articles with the business law firm Brazeau Seller LLP in Ottawa before returning to Brockville to practice law with Templeman Menninga LLP.
Hugh was actively involved in sports at Queen’s University as a member of the Varsity Golf Team as well as playing Jr B Hockey for the Brockville Tikis.
Hugh is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and sits on the executive of the Leeds and Grenville Law Association. He has previously been a member of the Board of Directors for the Brockville and District Chamber of Commerce as well as the Brockville Country Club.
