Zach Flemming-Giannotti is an associate lawyer at Templeman Menninga LLP. Zach summered and articled with the firm before joining as an associate in 2016. Zach is a member of the firm’s litigation group and practices primarily in the area of insurance defence. Zach also represents clients in Repair and Storage Liens Act matters.
As an undergraduate, Zach obtained his Bachelor of Music from Queen’s University with a focus on percussion performance. He pursued a career in musical performance prior to attending law school at Queen’s. Zach obtained his J.D. from Queen’s in 2015.
Originally from Muskoka, Zach moved to Kingston in 2006 to pursue his undergraduate degree. Throughout his undergraduate studies, as well as in law school, Zach engaged in a number of community and extracurricular activities. Most recently, Zach became a Big Brother in Kingston in 2013, and was elected to the Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington in 2016.
Zach is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Frontenac Law Association, and the Ontario Bar Association. Zach was the recipient of the 2015 Frontenac Law Association Award, an award given to articling students who intend to remain in the Kingston and surrounding area to practice following their articles, and who have contributed to the community through volunteer involvement.
In his time away from the practice or study of law, Zach enjoys playing softball and ultimate frisbee in recreational leagues. Zach also enjoys golfing, fishing, and camping. In the summertime, Zach also tries to spend time in his hometown in Muskoka.
