Stefan Rookwood

Stefan is an Associate Lawyer at Templeman LLP, practicing primarily Family Law and Civil Litigation. Stefan joined the firm as an Articling Student in 2024 after spending two summers working for Toronto-based criminal law firms.
Stefan completed his undergraduate degree at McGill University, majoring in both history and political science He then completed his law degree at Queen’s University, where he finished all three years on the Dean’s Honour List.
While at law school, Stefan was a caseworker at the Queen’s Prison Law Clinic where he represented clients within the Correctional Services of Canada disciplinary system. He also volunteered with the Advanced Prison Law Clinic, providing legal services for Canadian Human Rights Tribunal litigation. In his final year, he worked at the Kingston Superior Court of Justice as a legal clerk, assisting with both civil and criminal trials.
Outside of work, Stefan spends his time cooking, gardening and traveling whenever and wherever possible.
