Katie Degendorfer

Areas of Practice
Katie works in the Solicitors group and practices primarily in the areas of Corporate/Commercial Law and Privacy Law.
Prior to joining the firm Katie worked in the public sector, for a start-up, and a large professional services firm. Her experience allowed her to gain a deep appreciation for thoughtful problem solving, and understanding company risk tolerance.
Katie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Honours. After working as an Independent Researcher, she returned to school and obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa, where she was Senior Editor of the Ottawa Law Review, Ottawa Regional Champion of the Hicks Morley Labour Law Moot, Dean’s Honour List, and awarded the Edelson Clifford D’Angelo Friedman LLP Prize for highest standing in Advanced Criminal Procedure. She also worked for a professor specializing in the area of Intellectual Property Law throughout her time at law school.
Katie is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, and holds a CIPP/C certification from the IAPP. When she is not working, Katie is passionate about working out (having briefly been an amateur Muay Thai fighter), and spending time with her family in the County.
