Zanab Ali-Ahsan joined the firm in 2025 and is an Associate Lawyer working out of the Belleville office.

Zanab began her legal career at a specialty insurance firm in Toronto, where she held summer positions during law school, completed her articling, and continued as an associate over the past year. During that time, she developed important foundational skills for litigation, gaining hands-on experience with examinations for discovery, drafting and arguing motions, participating in mediations and settlement conferences, and assisting senior counsel with the preparation of pre-trial conferences and trials.

Prior to beginning her career, Zanab received her Juris Doctor Cum Laude from the University of Ottawa and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with Distinction in Politics from Toronto Metropolitan University. While in law school, Zanab held several impactful roles. She volunteered as a student caseworker with both Access to Justice and Pro Bono Students Canada. She also served as a moot judge and coach for the Learners’ Cup, Constitutional Law Moot, and the Harold G. Fox Moot.

Outside of her legal practice, Zanab enjoys travelling to new places and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
