Maureen A. Houston

Maureen Houston is a partner with the firm’s Labour and Employment practice group. She has extensive experience in representing employers in all matters related to their employment, labour relations and human rights issues.Her clients are diverse, from hospitals and large manufacturing employers, to smaller, not-for-profit organizations. She is an experienced civil litigator and trial lawyer, and regularly represents clients before arbitrators and at the Ontario Labour Relations Board. She assists her clients in complex administrative and regulatory issues, and has advocated before a significant number of tribunals and agencies.
Maureen completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, before entering graduate studies at McGill University. She later received her law degree from Queen’s University Law School, where she was a multiple award winner. Following law school, she was awarded articles of clerkship with the Chief Justice of Ontario and the Justices of the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Maureen is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association and the Hastings County Law Association.
